Paul is a Member of the Board for the Institute for Apprenticeships and chairs their Quality Committee. He is  a NAS Apprentice Ambassador

Paul is also HR Director of a Midlands based retail chain and holds 5 further Directorships and is the Lead Assessor for CIPD Programmes.

A former International Athlete, Paul still holds the UK all time fastest 10 mile record for under 23's of 47 mins 50 secs.

Paul still enjoys his running, training virtually every day and competing regularly.

Emma originally acquired her skills in the banking & financial services sector before moving into a senior management role in a large nationwide charity.

Emma enjoys many different sports and represents GB in Age-Group Triathlons.

Mark started work as an auditor after finishing his articles but then moved straight into Industry. He has worked in various sectors for over 30 years in the role of FD and has structured a number of company Acquisitions, MBOs and Business Sales in that period.

Mark’s a former international marathon runner with a best of 2hrs 13 mins when finishing 10th in the London Marathon in 1985.

Mark still trains every day, but more for pleasure & well- being rather than competing.

Tom began his career at CMT as a HR Higher Apprentice studying towards the CIPD Level 5 Applied Diploma in Human Resource Management.

Tom is responsible for managing the ILR Returns for CMT as well managing the central office functions and internal HR matters.

Outside of work Tom has a passion for many sports and you may well see him on the Football field in his role as a Referee or in the stands at The Hawthorns supporting West Brom!

Tara has a track record as a butcher for approaching 8 years in farm shops and  high street butchers shops. She completed her Advanced Butcher Apprenticeship with Crosby Management Training.

When not at work Tara plays rugby and has a passion for rock climbing.  She adores animals and  growing her own vegetables and fruit,  living off the land in a sustainable and environmentally conscious way.

Mike Whittemore

Mike has gained over 40 years of experience in the meat trade, following his Grandfather and Father i the industry. Having started out in retail butcher shops he was the family’s (Baxter’s Butchers Ltd) youngest branch manager at 20 years old. He has worked for major retail giants Sainsbury’s and Asda and spent 14 years at the Meat & Livestock Commission before moving to Somerfield/Kwik as red meat buying manager and then EBLEX/AHDB in their trade and product development department.

Married with one son who is a PGA professional golfer. Mike’s hobbies include football (previous chairman of a semi professional football club), golf, travel and lifelong supporter of Chelsea FC.

Chris Riley

Chris has been in the Butchery business since the age of 14 when he started part time with Walter Smith. He started his adult career as an apprentice with Walter Smith Fine Foods in 2010.

Chris became Britain’s Premier Young Butcher in 2014, playing a substantial role in being selected to represent the UK for the world Butchery internationals Chris has also won several other awards including ‘apprentice with most management promise’ ‘Champions of Champions’.

In his spare time, Chris likes to spend time with family & friends.  His hobbies include snooker, tennis, golf, football and swimming.

Kevin Langtree

Kevin has worked in the meat industry for over 40 years. Combining 37 years of experience in the retail sector as a Butcher and Store Manager for a large Midlands based company. In that time Kevin won numerous prestigious awards. He also worked in the food manufacturing sector for a period of time.

Kevin has a great love for the outdoors and that led him to get involved in the Scout Movement for the past 15 years. He also enjoys keeping fit by taking part in Cycling and Running events around the country.

Colin Taylor

Colin has worked in the meat industry for 39 years and has a background in the wholesale catering sector gaining experience in peace work butchery including boning and portion control. Colin was involved in the opening of a butchery Academy and was manager for young apprentices. The Academy was a great success winning training provider of the year and individual apprentice of the year.

Outside work Colin is a family man who loves being with grandkids and interests include travelling, cinemas, and watching sports including football as a lifelong avid Liverpool supporter.

Joanne Cadman

Joanne is the Admin Support and College/AO Co-ordinator for Crosby Management Training and is also a qualified Assessor.

Joanne has over 30yrs experience in Sales, Customer Service and Business Administration.

Joanne has spent most of her working life in the Private sector.

Outside of work Joanne likes to keep fit and active and enjoys all outdoor activities including, hill walking, cycling and jogging. She is also a keen gardener.

Lily O'Brien

Lily joined the team in September 2019 and has just achieved a distinction in her Business Admin apprenticeship with Crosby, she is excited to develop her career in marketing and is now moving onto her Level 4 Marketing Executive Apprenticeship. She previously studied Psychology and Applied Science and has worked in different industries such as Retail and Hospitality. In her spare time, Lily loves being with animals, especially her dogs Pablo and Jessie. She loves everything holiday from sun to snow and wishes to travel and ski in many more countries around the world. Another thing Lily enjoys is going out with her friends and shopping!

Hugh Judd

Hugh has worked in the butchery and food service industry for over 40 years. He is a qualified chef and trainer, who has been responsible for developing and working in a number of award-winning licensed retail brands.

Latterly he worked with AHDB looking after beef, lamb and pork food service development.

Now a retired rugby player, he still loves watching the game and enjoys sea fishing.

Pete Buzzard

Pete left school in the 1980’s and started working at the local abattoir, including spending most of his free time at the slaughterhouse and gaining qualifications. He has worked for different companies over the years reaching the position as foreman.

He joined HP Westwood in 2005 and is now the Operations Manager including delivering training since 2017 in the WATOK qualification and abattoir workers apprenticeship. He is an independent assessor in several areas including support officer for animal certificates, animal plants, and animal welfare officer. He is still very much hands on in the business continuing to slaughter and the role as inspector.
