This apprenticeship is designed to operate as the professional standard for people working as a Butcher. This apprenticeship has been created by the Butchery industry and is the best the industry has had in over 100 years.
The apprenticeship has returned to a more ‘craft’ led style with a traditional mix of knowledge and skills as well as learning how to display key behaviours expected from those working as a butcher.
At the end of the 18 month Level 2 programme, you will be ‘tested’ on your mastery of cutting skills and industry knowledge by an independent assessor to ensure you have met the butchery standard.
